Start a small reference page

Choose a few stamps with a shared subject. Record the country, printed denomination and visible cancellation without guessing a date or rarity. Photograph both sides on a plain background.

Handle stamps by their edges with clean stamp tongs. Keep hinges, adhesive and cleaning experiments away from pieces you have not identified. Store the page dry and away from direct sunlight.
